Manoocher Deghati is a renowned photojournalist photographing news, conflicts and social issues around the globe since 1978. Mr. Deghati is also the Founder of AINA Photojournalism Institute in Kabul.
After being exiled from his native country (Iran) in 1985, he worked for several major agencies, including Black Star, Sipa, and AFP, as well as important international magazines, such as Time, Life, Newsweek, and National Geographic Magazine. Moreover, he held management positions and photographed for the UN on four continents. Currently, Mr. Deghati teaches and works as an independent photographer from his new home base in Southern Italy.
