When Najiba Noori was living as an Afghan refugee in Iran, she developed a keen interest in art. After completing her elementary education in Iran, Najiba and her family had to return to Afghanistan due to severe living conditions for Afghan refugees. As creative as she was, Najiba along with her friends established a group called “Horizon”, which focuses mostly on cultural and artistic activities, including photography. Najib has also been active in the media, television, radio and magazines as a reporter and photographer. Following her interest in photography, Najiba attended numerous videography and photography courses, including an intermediate-advanced photography course under Ms. Farzana Wahidy. Najiba is currently working as a freelance photographer and documentary maker in Bamyan province.
